LifeProven continues its Expansion with the Addition of Sofi Zickerman White as ESG Delivery Lead and Energy Modeller

ESG Consultancy

LifeProven, the leading end-to-end ESG property consultancy, marks its on-going expansion with the appointment of professional energy modeller, EPC consultant and ESG delivery lead, Sofi Zickerman White.

Sofi will provide LifeProven’s clientele crucial delivery insight across the company’s growing ESG-delivery partner role that bridges the gap through every RIBA Stage between fund, investment management and asset delivery teams.

Zickerman-White joins LifeProven after three years with AESG, a small engineering, architecture and construction consultancy, working with its Dubai office on sustainability certification and, in the UK, on building regulations and ‘net zero’-transition of operational buildings.

“As another small but fast-growing company I was able to learn a lot quickly there, as everyday meant keeping up with the changes that the ESG sector is seeing as it takes the broadest view on matters of sustainability,” says Zickerman White, who will operate between LifeProven’s offices in the City of London and East Sussex. “Sustainability is rapidly evolving and its application in this industry increasingly crucial,  it’s therefore essential to be very diverse and adaptable to change.”

Zickerman-White graduated in geo-physics and completed a masters at University College London in energy technology and climate policy.

“We’ve seen increased demand from new and existing clients for bespoke net zero transition and EPC improvement advice for existing and in-design assets. It’s becoming increasingly clear that ESG is no longer a nice to have, driven by both ethics, as being the right thing to do and commercials, protecting asset values over the full investment lifecycle” says LifeProven co-founder Adam Hinds. “Technical ESG advice is often disjointed, delivered across various stages and stakeholders, so it is fundamental that LifeProven deliver all specialist ESG services in-house, so clients receive consistent end to end advice that aligns directly with their investment strategy and their stakeholder communication”.

“Once we met Sofi we knew we didn’t need to interview anyone else. She blew us away with her enthusiasm and knowledge,” Hinds adds. “This is such a young industry specialism that finding people with her expertise, understanding and experience is incredibly hard. She has already hit the ground running.”

The appreciation is mutual.

“What’s been important to me is LifeProven’s emphasis on working right across the spectrum of ESG services, breaking the siloed approach the sector current adopts when it comes to ESG and sustainability, which both makes it unique in the industry right now but, excitingly so for me, allows you to see a project right through from fund level strategy to implementation on site and all the way through measuring its operational performance over time. You get to see the real results.”
