LifeProven Strengthens ESG Capability with Hire of the World’s First GRESB Accredited Professional

LifeProven

LifeProven is pleased to welcome Theo Bibby to the team as a Senior Project Lead, supporting the ESG team across data strategy, reporting and delivery. His arrival reflects LifeProven’s continued investment in specialist knowledge, technical rigour and outcome-led ESG consultancy.

Theo has worked as a sustainability and ESG consultant throughout his career, with a particular focus on real estate. His background includes sustainability reporting, benchmarking, compliance and performance frameworks such as GRESB, CRREM, SECR and ESOS. He is the world’s first GRESB Accredited Professional and also holds PIEMA status and GRI Certified Sustainability credentials.

He began his career at Ramboll, supporting energy efficiency audits, EPCs and legislative interpretation for real estate portfolios. He later joined E.S.G. Solutions Ltd as the company’s first full-time employee, working across technical delivery, business development and service-line growth. Over four years, he led the expansion of the GRESB service line while also delivering site-based assessments, ESG data collection strategies and client reporting.

Theo joins LifeProven to help shape and strengthen how ESG data is gathered, interpreted and applied. He will lead on the GRESB reporting process, support a range of delivery partner projects and contribute to internal development around ESG services and systems.

Speaking on his decision to join, Theo said:

“I was instantly drawn to LifeProven because of their unique and forward-looking approach to sustainability. Everything from their delivery partner model and bespoke approach to ESG, to their drive to deliver measurable, financial value and positive impact across every lifecycle stage is incredible and something that I had not previously experienced.”

Theo was also drawn to LifeProven for its culture.

“From the first conversation with Adam, he challenged my way of thinking, showed a desire to push me to be better, and I immediately knew that this was something I wanted to be a part of. When I met the wider team, I felt a real sense of excitement about where the company is and where it is going.”

As part of Ara Nik’s team, Theo’s focus will be on improving data collection systems, reducing inefficiencies and helping clients move beyond compliance toward more strategic ESG integration. He is also looking forward to learning from others in the business, while bringing his own insight and experience to bear.

“I enjoy being challenged and thinking critically about systems, people and how they interact. ESG can and should be meaningful, not just a tick-box exercise. I want to improve the way data is gathered and used, so that we can spend less time on admin and more time driving value creation and positive impact.”

Ara Nik, Associate Director commented:

"Theo brings a rare blend of technical expertise and practical delivery experience across ESG reporting, data strategy, and benchmarking. His deep knowledge of frameworks like GRESB combined with his system-led mindset is already proving invaluable to our team and clients, reinforcing our commitment to technical excellence and purposeful ESG integration, while strengthening our ability to deliver strategies that are both credible and commercially impactful."

Outside of work, Theo enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing football and badminton, board games and piano. He has also reached the summit of the world’s tallest mountain.

Theo’s appointment reflects LifeProven’s commitment to building a team that combines specialist knowledge, high standards and a collaborative mindset, supporting clients to make sustainability work in real terms across real assets.
